This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information when you visit our website, communicate with us, use the Green Dock Career Profile, or otherwise interact with Green Dock.
This Privacy Policy is intended to provide a clear description of our practices. It does not create contractual rights beyond those provided by applicable law.
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Information collected automatically
When you use our website, Wix and other technology providers may automatically collect limited technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, approximate location derived from your IP address, referring website, and dates and times of access. Cookies and similar technologies may also be used as described below.
2. HOW WE USE INFORMATION
We may use personal information to:
- Operate, maintain, secure, and improve our website and services;
- Process your Green Dock Career Profile responses and generate and deliver your completed report;
- Communicate with you about your assessment, career interests, inquiries, or requested services;
- Provide legal recruiting, career advisory, and candidate representation services;
- Contact you about potentially relevant career opportunities or Compass services when you have requested or permitted that outreach;
- Maintain records of consent, privacy notices, and service activity;
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, or technical problems;

We will not use your assessment responses or completed profile for an undisclosed purpose that is materially incompatible with the purpose for which the information was collected without providing appropriate notice or obtaining permission when required.
3. GREEN DOCK CAREER PROFILE
The Green Dock Career Profile is designed to provide professional-development and career-alignment insights. To generate the profile, we collect your identity and contact information, your assessment responses, consent records, and technical verification information.
Your assessment responses and completed profile are treated as confidential. Green Dock will not provide your assessment responses or completed profile to a law firm, prospective employer, or other third party for recruiting or employment consideration without your knowledge and permission, except when disclosure is required by law.
The Green Dock Career Profile is informational and is not a guarantee of employment, placement, career outcomes, professional performance, or compatibility with a particular organization.
4. OUTREACH AND MARKETING CHOICES
Permission to receive future career-related outreach is optional and is separate from the consent required to process and deliver your Green Dock Career Profile. Declining optional outreach will not prevent you from completing the assessment or receiving your report.
If you give permission, Green Dock may contact you about relevant career opportunities, professional resources, or Green Dock services. You may withdraw that permission at any time by using any unsubscribe method provided in the communication or by contacting us using the information below. Withdrawal will apply to future outreach and will not affect processing already completed.
We may still send non-promotional communications necessary to deliver a service you requested, respond to you, or administer an existing relationship.
5. HOW WE DISCLOSE INFORMATION
We do not sell personal information.
We may disclose personal information in the following limited circumstances:
Service providers. We use vendors that help us host the website, verify submissions, process assessment data, store records, generate and deliver reports, send communications, maintain security, and operate our business. These providers may include Wix, HubSpot, Zoho, and Microsoft services such as Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Power Automate, and Outlook. We may use additional providers, including a customer relationship management system, as our operations develop. Providers receive information only as reasonably necessary to perform services for Green Dock and are expected to handle it appropriately.
Recruiting disclosures authorized by you. With your knowledge and permission, we may provide information to law firms, prospective employers, or other parties involved in a recruiting process. The information disclosed will depend on the opportunity and the permission you provide.
Legal and safety purposes. We may disclose information when we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law, legal process, or a governmental request, or is necessary to protect the rights, property, safety, or security of Green Dock, our users, or others.
Business transactions. If Green Dock is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or transfer of some or all business assets, information may be disclosed as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections and applicable law.
6. RETENTION
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including providing services, maintaining an active relationship, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, and satisfying legal, accounting, or compliance obligations.
For the Green Dock Career Profile, our general retention schedule is:
- Raw assessment responses are generally retained for no more than 90 days after delivery of the completed profile.
- The completed profile and related contact and processing information are generally retained for no more than 24 months.
Information may be retained longer when reasonably necessary for an active relationship, at your request, because of a legal or compliance obligation, to resolve a dispute, to preserve evidence, or under a documented retention hold. Information may also remain for a limited period in secure backups, system logs, or records that cannot reasonably be isolated immediately, after which it will be deleted or overwritten in the ordinary course.
7. COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES
Our website and its service providers may use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for security, site operation, accessibility, preferences, and form functionality. If analytics, advertising, or other nonessential technologies are enabled, we will use available notice and consent tools when required by applicable law.
You may be able to control cookies through the website's cookie settings or your browser. Disabling certain cookies may affect website functionality.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. These measures include access controls, technical verification of assessment submissions, and use of established hosting and business-service providers.
No website, transmission method, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You should use care when transmitting information online and contact us if you believe your interaction with Green Dock is no longer secure.
